I have intentionally been hiding and diminishing my joy of and excitement about life for years in order to make other people feel more comfortable.

Childhood Experiences… Missing

Ruby understands that there are many things we will be giving up to go sailing around the world but I don't think she's got the context to understand it fully yet. The following are some of the experiences that Ruby and Miles might never share with their peers.

Hello,
I wrote to you all a week and a half ago just letting you know that my family and I had just come back from a month at sea aboard our 33 ft Ranger sailboat with our 18 month old going out to the Channel Islands and back. Now I see you are awaiting leaving California for the great journey down into Baja. Iam so impressed with what you are doing. Im very new to cruising and sailing in general but very impressed with families with children. I think it is such an awesome experience with family. I will keep following you all. Oh, and the pictures of your children are beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Katja Svendsen

Hello Again! Ranger 33 is a great boat. Our friends have been cruising on one (on and off) for over a year now. You should check out their site (http://www.bamboleirosailing.com/), they are inspirational to us! No kids but really great people! Anyway, thanks again for the kind words. Keep in touch!
