MY DAY

Home again, I started Saturday with coffee, sun, and a deliberately light calendar.

At four, with the board finally moving again, I shut the laptop and went to the boat.

Heather and I fixed the jib's roller furler before we left the dock.

A few outboard parts went on next—then Ripple was ready.

We sailed out between Cushing and Peaks, then threaded back through the islands.

The whole sky caught fire, and we made it back just before dark.

Burgers at my house, Argentina–Switzerland on TV, and nowhere else to be.
